Below you will find a detailed description of your journey and to tantalise your adventurous spirit. TOUR DESCRIPTION


DAY 1: - Welcome to the land of sun, sand and smiles!
You will arrive at Hosea Kutako International airport, Windhoek, Namibia. One of our friendly representatives from All Around Namibia Tours will welcome you at the airport - look out for your name on our welcoming sign. We will gladly assist you with your luggage and show your to the foreign exchange counters. Although there are many have electronic banking points available at lodges and hotels we advise that you take some cash for curio shopping along he way. The currently is Namibian Dollar (N$).

From the airport on you will be transferred to the stunning N/aankuse Lodge and Conservancy which is approximately 40-minutes` drive from the airport. Keep your camera ready as you might see some wildlife along the way. You will be welcomed by N/aankuse Lodge`s friendly staff and shown to your beautiful rooms where you can relax after a long flight while enjoying the spectacular bush veld and sounds of Namibia nature. N/aankunse is renowned for its delicious food prepared by the in-house chef and you can enjoy a light lunch with some ice cold drinks.

Later the afternoon you will be taken on a game drive where you can get your first view of Namibian game such as giraffe, zebra, kudu, warthog and our baboon. The best is obviously saved for last and you will also get so see lions, cheetahs and leopards and hear the amazing story of how these animals have been saved and are being rehabilitated. On the way back to lodge you will stop and have your first Namibian sun-downer and enjoy the breathtaking sunset over the unspoiled landscape. You might also opt to learn more about N/aankunse`s bushmen community and the important role that N/aankunse plays in uplifting this ethnic group. Take some time to freshen up and enjoy a candle lit dinner with your guide who will inform of your tour schedule for the remainder of your stay in Namibia.

DAY 2: Experience our own Namibian Wine Farm!
07h15: Enjoy a lovely breakfast with your tour guide. You will check out afterwards and you will depart from N/aankunse Lodge to your next destination, Nueras Wine Estate which is part of the N/aankuse Group. This is the only place in Namibia - and also in the middle of desert! - that produces wine due to a constant underground fountain that supply water to the vineyards. On arrival at Neuras Wine Estate the staff will welcome you with a nice, ice cold drink as temperatures in the desert can reach up to 45 degrees Celsius in summer time and 27 degrees Celsius during winter. Sunscreen and hats are thus very important items in your traveling bag!

After a light lunch you will be shown around the Neuras farm and the staff will take you on an unforgettable wine tour where you can do some wine tasting - the best part of the day! You can also buy some bottles of wine to take back home as gifts for your friends and family.

Late afternoon you can take some time to relax next to the swimming pool and enjoy some drinks while marvelling at the lovely colours the sky take one during sunsets in the southern part of the country. This is followed by a lovely dinner with your tour guide at the lodge with some Neuras wine to round off a lovely day.

DAY 3: Sizzling Solitaire and Sossusvlei!
07h30: Enjoy breakfast with your tour guide and depart at 09h00 to the world famous Sossusvlei Desert. Your tour guide will take your through spectacular landscapes that are estimated to be millions of years old. Open plains and wide open spaces is what Namibia is known for! On your way you will stop at Solitaire Guest farm. Solitaire is known for its famous bakery and Apfelstruddle. Enjoy a cup of coffee and chat to the owner of the bakery, Moose. A light lunch and refreshments at Solitaire is for your own account.

Your tour guide will inform you of your departure time to the Sesriem Canyon where he/she will show you around and explain the history behind this unique nature formation. Take some time to walk around and enjoy this special canyon. Be careful at all times and keep your camera close to take snap shots of the amazing scenery.

From Sesriem Canyon you will depart to where you will be staying over for the night. Take some time to relax at the pool and cool down after a warm day. You will meet up with your guide for an evening dinner under the perfect starry Namibian skies. Tonight will be an early night as you will be up before sunrise the following day for an exhilarating trip to the picturesque dunes of the Sossusvlei desert.

DAY 4: Desert sunrise and little Germany in Namibia!
05h00: In order not to miss the highlight of your trip you will have to get up early when it is still nice and cool. You will have some time to enjoy a nice cup of coffee at the lodge from where you will depart to visit the red sand dunes of the Sossusvlei desert. This is truly a once in a life time experience and you will have the unique opportunity to see the Namibian sun rising over the pristine landscape of this lovely country.

You will be back at round about 09h00 to enjoy a hearty breakfast and to freshen up for the next leg of your trip to the Namibian coast. At 10h30 we will depart to Swakopmund also known as Namibia`s "Little Germany".

The driving time will be approximately 5 hours to the coastal towns of Walvis Bay / Swakopmund. The coast is loved and enjoyed by both overseas visitors and local Namibians and it has a rich historical past. On our way we will be crossing several points for sightseeing where your guide will stop so that you may take photographs. In Namibia we like to take things slow so en route you will stop for a light lunch and some drinks.

You will arrive in Swakopmund late afternoon and will be taken to your hotel to check in and take some time to relax - you are after all on holiday! Your guide will meet you at an agreed time at your hotel and take to one of Swakopmund`s fantastic seafood restaurants to enjoy the catch of the day.

DAY 5: Pelicans and seals!
07h30: Have a lovely Swakopmund breakfast with your tour guide before departing to Walvis Bay. You will again have an opportunity to see the desert and the ocean meeting in a very unique way along the coastal line. Arriving at Walvis Bay you will be taken to this town`s newest tourist attraction, the Waterfront. From here you will take a relaxing boat cruise to Namibia`s oyster farms and if you are lucky a seal family will visit the boat and even try to catch a lift. On board you can expect to be served light snacks and canap?s and obviously fresh Namibian oysters.

After a lovely morning and back on ground you can enjoy a good cup of coffee at one of the seafood restaurants or lunch at the Waterfront. Take some time to visit the curio shops as you will find truly unique, handmade gifts to take back home.

On your way back to Swakopmund you may choose to do some Quad biking (4 wheel motorbikes) in the dunes or even a quick 4x4 trip to Sandwich harbour (Walvis Bay) where you can view unforgettable landscapes and get a panoramic view of where the Atlantic ocean meets the lovely red desert dunes.

After a lovely day on Namibian waters and adventurous drives in the dunes you can head back to your hotel where you can do some leisure shopping. You will then have some free time to have a romantic dinner later on in the evening.

DAY 6: Damaraland - land of the bushmen!
07h30: After breakfast you will depart to the North Western part of Namibia known as Damaraland. Our driving time will be approximately 5 hours to your next lodge. You will stop at a small, privately owned town called Uis. Uis is a small town owned by South African mining entrepreneur and is close to the world renowned Brandberg Mountain.

Damaraland is situated more or less halfway between the coast and Etosha Park. It is an extremely interesting area with spectacular mountains and veld forests - where you can see trees that are believed to be growing "upside down". You will stop at a desert oasis called Twyfelfontein where you can see preserved Bushmen stone art dating from prehistoric times.

On arrival you will be welcomed by the lodge staff. You can opt to take a late afternoon sundowner drive so that you can experience a spectacular sunset view over the splendours Damaraland mountains. You will then return to the lodge and enjoy dinner with your guide. Take some time to gaze at the millions of stars covering the open, clean Namibia skies.

DAY 7: Big five experience in the largest Namibian conservancy!
08h00: After having some breakfast you will depart to Etosha National Park. On your way you will stop in the small town of Outjo. You will have some time to walk along the town`s roads and visit some of the souvenir shops. Do not forget to pop in at the Outjo Bakery for a lovely sweet treat and coffee. Your guide will inform you of the time that you will be departing from Outjo to Etosha Park.

You will check in early afternoon. Y our tour guide can then take you on an afternoon drive in the park and you may be so lucky to spot some African elephants. Etosha is truly a Namibian jewel! The name Etosha means "Great White Place", and the name suits the landscape, which is dominated by a massive mineral pan. The pans coves around 25% of the National Park, and was originally a lake fed by the Kunene River.

However the lake dried up when the course of the river changed thousands of years ago. The pan is now a large dusty depression of salt and dusty clay which fills only if the rains are heavy and even then only holds water for a short time during good rainy seasons.

Etosha Park is vast (23,000 sq. km) and is made up of wide, open grass planes and veld bushes that surround the pan area. There are a number of waterholes, spread out in strategic locations along the edges of the pan, attracting large concentrations of wildlife and birds, and are the prime spots for viewing game. The park is host to 114 mammal species, 340 bird species, 16 reptiles - and countless insect - species. Keep your camera close as you do not want to miss a single detail! You will then return to enjoy dinner at the lodge.

DAY 8: Memorable Etosha!
08H00: Breakfast with your guide and depart to the park and enjoy a lovely day viewing animals. The best time of day is early morning and late afternoon as animals come to the waterholes to drink and graze. You may also visit the three tourist centres, Okakuejo, Halali and Namutoni . All three of these areas are fenced and you may explore the grounds or purchase some refreshments.

DAY 9: Waterberg Platua
In order to arrive on time today you will have a early breakfast with your guide as your guide have a long driving distance to do today. Driving time is approximately 6 to 7hours. Today`s road conditions is very good where you will be travelling all the way on Tarmac Road just the last 50km to Waterberg will be sand road again.. Expect to arrive late afternoon at Waterberg Platua.

From your Etosha lodge you will be driving to Tsumeb about a 2hours drive from your lodge where your guide wil refuel and do a check up on your 4x4 wheel pressure and oil check. Onwards you will go pass through Otavi a little farm town driving time between 2 towns 1 hour. Onwards you will arrive in Otjiwarongo where you can have lunch at one of the restaurant`s. From Otjiwarongo you will continue onwards to Waterberg please follow the map carefully driving time to the lodge 2hours. On arrival check in at your lodge where you can have a walk around the platua and explore the beautiful landscape and mountains.

DAY 10: Elegant Erindi
08h00: Breakfast with your tour guide and you will depart at 09h30 for your next destination. The driving time will be approximately 4 to 5 hours. Your next destination is Erindi Game Reserve - the largest privately owned conservancy in Namibia.

Erindi is a place to unwind and enjoy the beautiful bushveld and scenery from the comfort of your lodge room. Rooms are private and tastefully decorated to offer you a luxurious stay. Waterholes are situated close to the rooms and you will find an array of wildlife walking past your window to graze and drink at the waterhole. Erindi Private Game Reserve offers the widest selection of exciting game species, dynamic and informed guides for guided game drives, the finest cuisine as well as the friendliest staff you could imagine. Erindi means "a place of water" and is a pioneer in conservation programs and eco-management models.



DAY 12: Take some time to unwind before returning home!
This will be a relaxing day where you can enjoy a delicious breakfast - a Namibian style buffet. Soak up some Namibian sun at the pool side or visit the San Community.

You can enjoy a tasteful light buffet lunch at the restaurant as well coffee and a selection of cakes will be served in the afternoon. Freshen up later the day and enjoy a delicious dinner nearby the restaurant waterhole and enjoy the lovely sounds of nature including the hippo family nearby!

DAY 13: Back to Windhoek!
06h00: Enjoy a cup of coffee in your room before you depart on your early morning game drive and enjoy the sunrise over the bushveld. You will arrive approximately back at the lodge at 09:00 where after you can enjoy a hearty breakfast.

10h00 - 11h00: You will depart to Windhoek. Your guide will stop over at Okahandja where you may choose to visit the wood carvers` market and buys some souvenirs to take home with you for friends and family. On arrival in Windhoek your guide will take you on a short city tour with you where you will see the Reiterdenkmal monument of a mounted Schutztruppe soldier which commemorates the German-Herero war in the first decade of the 20th century. The Lutheran church is located on a traffic island in the middle of Robert Mugabe Drive and is close to the aforementioned monument. It has an elevated location as it is located up on the rise just west of Independence Avenue, close to the Alte Feste and the Tintenpalast. This is just a short induction on your city tour and you can can expect much more!

After a long exciting day you will be taken to N/aankuse Lodge and Conservancy where they will spoil you with a tasteful buffet dinner.

DAY 14: Saying goodbye!
Today is the last day in Namibia. Enjoy a delicious breakfast. Please arrange with your lodge or our company for check out time depending on your flight departure time. If you wish to make use of a room for a couple of hours before departing for the airport please arrange this in advance which will be at an additional cost. Your guide or transfer company will pick you up for your transfer to the airport at a pre-arranged time. Please remember that you should be at the airport 2 hours before the flight departs. Please book your flights to and from Zambia to Livingstone and out of Lusaka. If this is difficult please enquire about other possibilities.
